summer in a glass

Right for warm afternoons, perfect on a porch swing. Best enjoyed in a pretty dress (unless of course, you aren't the dress type..)

I think I am gonna call it a summer blush, so if ya'll come around, ask for one and we can catch up while enjoying the golden summer evening light filtering through the leaves.

Recipe:

In a glass ( I used a mason jar...obviously)
 muddle two ripe strawberries
squeeze half a lime over the strawberries
measure and pour 1.5 shot glasses of Red Berry Ciroc Vodka over fruit
Cover fruit and vodka with about 4-5 ice cubes
Top with diet ginger ale, I used Canada Dry I think...because it's what my local grocery had.

Stir briskly and enjoy.  It would be so good with a sprig of mint for garnish...alas I had none.

Actual Easter Egg Hunt

I know that Easter is tomorrow, but when I was trying to pick which dress Miss Bea was going to wear to church, I couldn't resist the golden light and talked my sweet girl into a photo shoot.  And honest, I haven't seen a prettier Easter baby ever! And even as I write that, I know my sweet little one is so much more a precious girl and less baby every day! We had so much fun dying the eggs, she loved the magic of watching them change colors! I love the magic of watching her. What a glorious day and what a wonderful moment. Ever so thankful.

Not April Fools

We aren't on vacation, we didn't fall in a hole, and there were no alien abductions.  Life here has been wonderful and full and Russ is home again so we have been adjusting to all the wonderful things about having him around and the gorgeous Spring weather hasn't made for lots of indoor time.

I just made a Spring action list of sorts, to help keep me motivated and working towards reasonable daily, weekly, and monthly goals, hopefully, if I keep it up, I will blog at least 3 times a month.  So consider it a pie crust promise for more pretty pictures of what we do around here when I am not sitting at the computer.  Have a lovely April day!
