"like the January sky" or "at Nicole's request"

A few days ago sweet Nicole asked for some inspirational fashion. And I laughed. And then I laughed a bit more and felt a wee bit nostalgic for that girl who used to plan elaborate photo shoots with her dress form. Because, my new normal revolves around cotton t-shirts (in pretty colors), comfy fleece (that can stand being thrown in the wash), long scarves that double as spit-up wipers and nursing shields, and jeans. Of course that is if I make it out of my pajamas! For a while it really bothered me that I seemed to being falling into a rut but then I realized, for now, I need a uniform that can take a little abuse. Because the best part of my days are about playing play-doh, crawling around on the carpet, and getting muddy, so it is okay that my closet of pretty clothes has been weeded, that my sweater dresses only come out for special occasions. However, this morning after sneeking in a shower, I decided to be a bit silly. To let my frou-frou, pretty princess out. So, because you asked Nicole. I offer a bit of "inspiration"

All in all this outfit wasn't terrible to wear all day. It was comfy and since I mostly stayed inside it was warm enough. My boots are pretty much awesome. I should try to wear them more often. And Beatrice really loved my necklace so that was an unexpected bit of fashionable utility.

I am inspired! I do so love you! You are such a great mommy, and I know it is a thankless job, but let me say your E and B say thank you! Thank you for playing play dough, for getting dirty, and for smiling at them each day!
