blooming

After bragging on North Carolina's flora, I thought I would include a few more pictures. Everytime I go back I am amazed by the biodiversity. Some of these are from the Arboreteum, some from my parents, and some I have no idea anymore, but aren't they pretty?

Artichokes, be still my rapidly beating heart. Allow me to geek out a little over artichokes, in a garden, ummm, yummy!

okay, all the desert flowers were at the Arboreteum. Pretty sure. Because most of NC is a little damp for their hearty constitutions.

Ever wonder how tall my mama is? Well, next to her, I look dwarfish. She is 6 feet, pretty much a long-stemmed American Beauty!
